The Dean Close Foundation seeks to appoint a new Director of HR role to hold a critical senior leadership position within the Foundation. CIPD qualified, you will be a proven HR leader with a track record of operating at a strategic level.
The Dean Close Foundation is a rapidly developing educational organisation whose key strategic aims include a desire to be an excellent employer, identifying, developing and rewarding talent in its people. Like all educational establishments Dean Close’s staff are its most important asset and the role of HR Director is a new one, designed to support the senior leaders in the Foundation and to lead a capable and loyal HR Department in enhancing and maintaining the very best possible service to the Foundation’s many stakeholders.
With some 720 staff, the Dean Close Foundation is a progressive and ambitious group of schools and nursery schools, working hard to inspire students, advance knowledge and transform futures. A Christian school community and registered charity, turnover is over £30m with a substantial and growing surplus and there is a new and exciting strategic plan with a capital investment programme planned for the next 15 to 25 years.
Reporting into the Warden (CEO), this new Director of HR role holds a critical senior leadership position within the Foundation, directly involved in devising and achieving the Foundation’s strategic goals, as well as leading the HR department in developing and delivering an ambitious people strategy that provides innovation and improved operational performance against the changing and challenging Independent Education landscape.
CIPD qualified, you are a proven HR leader with a track record of operating at a strategic level, delivering in a variety of senior HR roles within academia, the wider public sector or the commercial world. However, regardless of background, you will possess the leadership skills to motivate, inspire and empower diverse teams, driving up engagement, capability and performance to achieve quality outcomes against agreed timescales.
